Demons without legs seem a rather stupid idea. They all look flying rugs as well as all alike. Which pretty much translates into: Non-threatening and uninteresting.

This all sounds pretty good so far. The characters and their specializations seem to be really great! Of course I am very disappointed by the fact that they give us "3" button combat. Which is rather abysmal. But other than that I am fond of what I am hearing :)

I think I'm less concerned about how demons look and more concerned about the fact that the first boss fight is a lazy DAI Prologue Boss redux. Couldn't they come up with a different demon for the first boss fight? Does it always have to be a Pride Demon in a Rift destroyed landscaped? That actually could have been a great inside-joke callback if it had been set up to be a tough first boss, only to have Rook sneeze and one-shot the boss like it was nothing. That would have been worth a laugh.

I get what you mean by waxy faces, might be a lighting issue more than anything else, but I'll take waxy over the lifeless and uncanny valley of Andromeda. At least they didn't make that mistake again. Did you happen to learn what game engine is being used? Is it still Frostbite?

I'm kind of surprised that I partially guessed correctly, back when Dreadwolf was first announced, about how the party will deal with Solas and the ritual. IIRC, I guessed that the party would spend all of Act 1 searching for Solas, only to find him at the end of Act 1 with the ritual already in progress. The party interferes, causes the ritual to malfunction, which in turn releases the Evanuris. This would allow Solas to enter into an enemy of my enemy is my friend role in the party. Looks like all that happens much earlier than I expected and the post ritual disruption situation takes Solas off the playing board in a much more heavy-handed way by throwing him in Fade Jail. I also thought all the surviving Evanuris would emerge, but looks like only two. At least Solas is staying true to character, by making yet another mistake that screws up the whole world.

This all looks extremely promising I hope they don’t flub the development. I’m really excited about this

We will have to see. I pre-ordered the pervious Dragon Age games (Big Fan), but this one I will hold out until at least a few hours of the game play is available on You Tube. DA Origins is my favorite game, enjoyed DA2 and 3. I hope it is just as good, but if its full of Sweet Baby inc (BS) ideology they can keep it. From the info I have so far it does not look like a game I will pay money for.

As an origins, kotor, mass effect, bg1 and 2 fan I've gotten over the fact that bioware will never make a rpg game of that calibre anymore I just hope the story, writing and character choices make up for the crap design especially the demons and darkspawn i dont care about lore reasons it still looks bad and severe lack of rpg mechanics, also only three abilities at a time and no blood magic is abysmal. I used to like roleplaying as a spirit mage in origins that later falls for blood magic, but if i can't pick the evil option like in inquisition even though you are basically the leader of and religious militant group called the "inquisition" how can that not go bad, well its not really an rpg if i can't roleplay is it even inquisition had 8 abilities you could have at a time The whole purple thing feel more like a cyberpunk theme then a fantasy one

Looks like a mobile RPG. And also the action combat happens by players directing but here it's so obviously locking on the closest NPC. It looks trash, let's see if it is also plays trash

Nah im dissapointed with female quanari. In posters and desing scetch she was thin waisted hot babe, but on trailer she looks a transgender woman with masculine jaw. Its a pass from me

with these changes, it's not dragon age, simply since I saw that there will only be three skills and I can't use my teammates anymore other than selecting their three skills, it's a no for me.

Nice overview! And, your voice is perfect for audio. :-) I still play BG1, BG2, and DAO periodically ... so, a long-long-time fan. I'm extremely excited about this game. If what I've seen holds, this very well could be my favorite in the series.

Dragon Age: Fail Hard

The fighing style reminds me very much the fighting in V Rising. Besides two keys for a weapon (q, e) there are only 3 spells (abilities) including ultimate a player can use in any given fight. They can be easily reassign during short breaks b/w abilities used by bosses in fights. But at a player possible perish. A players can also easy change weapons. Cartoonish appearances are too very much reminds me of V Rising. I got mixed feeling about DA(T)V like you. I will buy the game and try it to check the lore at least. And agreed. 'The' in the title is not needed. Personally, i didn't like much any companion but i will see if their stories are interesting like it was in DAO or even in DAI. PS. I wonder if BioWare was influenced by V Rising game design that was in early access. PPS. Thank you for the video! I was hoping you will get one done for us and you did. 😊❤

13:06 purple wings are Lucanis The demon designs, my headcanon is that since Solas said to Varric, he "took precautions to minimize the damage" this is what caused the demons to look unfinished coming from the fade being lesser versions of their usual selves

great video if I did have theories about the DATV 1. I think the Dragon in the trailer and promo image could be an unblighted Old God. i don't know if i fully subcribe to popular fan theory that the Old God=Elven Gods and I feel like a choice on wheter to kill or Save one is the perfect choice for a Warden mission. 2. I don't think Varric is dead but I do think by the end of the game he will reitre from adventuring and this is the last game he will appear in. 3. There's gonna be a secret companion of some sort but i don't think it will be Solas. There are 2 factions that have been set up in other media that don't get a mention, the Qunari and Solas's Agents. We've had a qunari Companion of some Sort in all 3 games counting Tallis which i do so i think it's weird we don't have one unless Taash also represents them.

A speculation I have judging by some scarce lore of a warframe as being one of the reasons the Tenno fight back against the Orokin could be because of Kullervo 'whispering secrets' and planting the seeds of revolution within the Tenno and using the Void as a medium of communication. I mean, it's also said that Kullervo wasn't THE reason for the rebellion: he just did the right thing at the right time resulting in his soon-to-be freedom. But it could very well be one of the straws that broke the camel's back leading to that event.

I wrote a paper in art school about how Dystopian SciFi, specifically Bladerunner, influenced art, music, anime and videogames as well as modern design of vehicles, fashion, architecture and practical technology. Probably the most enjoyable homework I ever had. I saw so much of Bladerunner in Cowboy BeBop, Akira, Perfect Dark, Half-Life 2, RoboCop, Fifth Element, Total Recall etc. I was the only person I knew that thought Johnny Mnemonic was a great a movie 😂
